DEVELOPMENT OF TRIZ

TRIZ was supposed to be developed according to a scheme with three phases:

  • the history of the evolution of technical systems (evolution);
  • the extraction of models and methods from real inventions and construction of effective methods for the creation of inventions (experience);
  • the construction of theoretical structures for TRIZ training and its further development (education).

The third phase was not realized to the necessary degree.

Actually, there should already be dozens of textbooks that were determined for different categories of users or that reflect the different styles of various authors. So far dozens of independent and competitive schools or research and teaching centers have also not been founded.

We don’t want to go into more detail about the catastrophic state of TRIZ in Russia. All in all a tremendous potential for TRIZ training from an early age and for the practical application of TRIZ by dozens of its followers in Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and the Ukraine has been amassed, but not developed further.

A creative personality needs to be able to solve the most complicated problems.

Today time is on TRIZ’s side.

The first generation developed the foundations. But, they didn’t have the freedom of mind and spirit that is needed for really correct research.

We need a second generation of developers. It’s now the researchers’ turn. With courage, fearlessness and a free spirit it’s time to retain everything important, everything that’s worth including in the new generation, as well as to drop everything else.

The theory has already exceeded its designation, but tradition dictated that nothing new was incorporated into it.

We are now heading into a new epoch of TRIZ.

We "only" need a new general theory and the wide application of this or several theories.

The modern global market for education and consulting will definitely not leave TRIZ in this condition for very long.

We are also working on the foundations of a scientific understanding and of the continued development of TRIZ.

This is how we have formulated our views and our prognosis of further perspectives.

TRIZ will be developed further. It will be developed in a spiral just like every science or new idea. People say that what’s new is only what’s been well forgotten from what’s old. We should therefore follow our healthy historical, philosophical and moral understanding and pay attention to earlier pioneers and researches by following them and reworking their best ideas. Our goal should be to provide the foundations with a better ordered, more effective theory with more closure and its instruments.

The new stage in the development of TRIZ as modern TRIZ is composed of many processes, tasks and activities. The most complete possible formation of this new stage still requires great investments and lots of work, both in research labs and in praxis.

We need the formulation of a scientific "systemology" of TRIZ.

We need changes in the terminology and the construction of a scientific language of TRIZ.

We need the construction of a new set of instruments.

And we need the global distribution of this renewed TRIZ in concrete applications.

We complete the three most important fundamental concepts of modern TRIZ that are comprehensively examined in our course offerings in the following sections.
